Mother's Day Weekend

The couple of days leading up to Mother's Day were spent giving TLC, Tylenol and making an impromptu visit to the ER.  On Friday night, I brought Quinn home from daycare, we played for quite awhile until I decided around 6 or so that Quinn was getting a bit tired and she needed to take a siesta.  In the process of taking the pre-bedtime nap, she developed a high fever, around 102/103.  I gave her some Tylenol and she was a completely different girl for the rest of the evening.

Saturday morning she woke up feeling really hot and a temperature check confirmed that she had an even higher temp of 105ish.  I administered Advile, thinking that it was only her ears causing all the fever drama.  By the afternoon, her temperature was back up to 105 before I could give her a second dose of Advil.  I decided then, and after I called my pediatrician and he said she needed to get to the hospital, that it might be a good idea to take her into the ER so that they could get the fever under control and to make sure it wasn't something far worse than her ears.

We were at the hospital for about 45 minutes to an hour.  Quinn was given Tylenol and we got a prescription for an antibiotic and we were sent on our way.  By Sunday, she was in a great mood, just developed a few spots around her mouth which we thought was from her saliva and her pacifier.  By Monday, she had little red dots all over her body and was sent home from daycare.  A trip to the pediatrician told us that she had the foot, hand and mouth virus which put me out of work and her out of daycare for a few days.

Mother's Day this year was super.

Super laid back, super delicious and super fun.

Yep, super.

Just like any other year, we went over to my parents house to celebrate the day with my dad's side of the family.  There is always a gazillion people all over the house, a game of something going on in the front yard and someone checking out the livestock or in Quinn's case riding it.

Later that evening, we headed over to hubs parents to drop off a gift, hang out and end the night with a golf cart ride.

The pictures tell a far better story.
